Sea Glass Charms

Here's the latest project, fun little pieces of genuine RI sea glass to add to charm bracelets and necklaces.

All three are available on my Etsy shop.  www.etsy.com/shop/seastoneandshell
You can also find me on facebook!  http://www.facebook.com/Beach.Jewelry

Lots of treasures for beach lovers are available.  I wear little pieces of the beach all the time.  It's nice to be able to reach for my beach stone earrings when I'm feeling a bit stressed.

Hope all are doing well and staying stress free!

Happy beach combing!

Photos only please!

I've been so busy lately, with my full time job selling shellfish and collecting the $$ from those sales, making jewelry, my little guy's been under the weather, and then just life's little extras.  Thought you might enjoy seeing some pictures of where I get to collect, not so many words........the photos say enough.

Dancing with the tide to get this picture, these are the remnants of the old Pier in Narragansett, RI

Nice little left breaking at the Pier Beach in 'Gansett.

Ah.........the treasure trove!  One of life's little extras.

'Gansett Beach Rock earrings.
One of the 1st pairs of earrings made since my return to jewelry making.
I took a long hiatis and am loving being back at it.

Trying new things...for 365 days.

I read the Etsy article on the man who made 365 skulls last night.  Very intriquing to think that if you do anything for 365 days it can change your life.  I started today with a handmade hammered jump ring to add some texture and the finishing touch on this "fat heart" genuine sea glass pendant.  It's a new technique for me and I love the results.  I'm not sure if I'll try 365 techniques or to make 365 pieces of sea glass jewelry.  If anyone else would like to join in the fun I'd be glad to hear what you might like to do!

Get Onboard

The URI Bay Campus Beach
Today my husband, Patrick, joined the ranks and shot some photos!
My son, Abe, stood a little too close to the water but didn't get soaked.  We searched for dinosaur bones, sea glass, and pretty shells.

We had a great time and this was the first treasure I found..............

Hope all are doing well out there............!

Yesterday's finds!

Blowing a gale at low tide but worth braving it!  The wind was whipping so hard that streams of sand flew down the beach towards the Dunes Club, absolutely beautiful!  Not many people on the beach.  I did see one woman in her running gear with the wind at her back and thought "yikes" b/c the way back against the wind would be brutal.  I had to walk backwards!  Hope all of you are well!

50 degrees at low tide

I hit it hard today!  Low tide was at noon and the temp. away from the water was 50 degrees, near the water not so much.  Boy did I have a great time though, tempting my fate and my dry boots, inching closer and closer to the water peeking to see if I could find any sea glass.  I danced with the tide line until I was too hungry to stay.  Next time I'll have to remember to bring a snack.  I brought home about 30 pieces of sea glass in varying stages of ripeness and maybe about 8 shells and a few rocks for earrings.  I'm into the green ones lately.

I'm on vacation from American Mussel Harvesters this week so I'm finding plenty of time for beach combing.  SO...I'm one happy girl.  I made a pair of earrings today that will have to go to just the right home......I think they may be rocks only a mother could love, lol.  Just for kicks, here's the pic....

Hope all is well with everyone!  Thanks for following!  GO ETSY ENTREPRENEURS!!!
